Aimed at intermediate/advanced level dancers, this workshop focuses on the use of the centre of our body, the fundamental motor of the dancer’s movement.
This workshop will begin with a technical and physical preparation of the body: we will begin from the work on the floor, focusing our attention on our own centre; we will then move on to more dynamic crossings and floorwork sequences, also opening up to the use of space; we will then arrive at the upright position in which we will do some exercises and short sequences.

The workshop will end with a short choreography.

Motivating Dance to the Motives

DATE / TIME

People who we call ‘dance-dummies’ dance hard but seems different because of lack of the reason to dance. The audience may feel strange to see the person who dances without thinking. What would the movement feel like if we raise our left arm because we have a certain reason to raise left arm? Movement with a reason may create a movement that exceeds a certain level of dance without thoughts. Perhaps the audience may see us as a dancer born with a natural talent who doesn’t have to think and forgets everything when we dance.
